My Story

Her career in healthcare began in 1998 when she graduated Paramedic school from Columbia state Community College. She worked with Wilson County EMA as a paramedic/firefighter until she transitioned to a position as a paramedic with the Nashville Fire Department in 2006. While she loved working in the prehospital setting, her passion for medicine and drive to continue her education led her to pursue a goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. While attending nursing school, she continued to work full time as a paramedic and then later would also take on a part time nursing position while completing graduate school. Once graduate school was complete, she transitioned into a position as a nurse practitioner in both the emergency department and urgent care. Her passion continued to drive her to provide the best care for her patients, specifically caring for patients with thyroid disease, diabetes and other endocrine disorders. She transitioned to a general surgery position where she cared for all surgical patients but specialized in pre and post op surgical care of thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy patients. Upon completing Duke University’s Endocrinology Subspecialty program, she joined the team with Bott’s Diabetes and Endocrinology where she has practiced since 2023.

Kelly continues to reside in Wilson County. She has three grown children, one grandson, is a proud military wife and a doodle dog mom. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.
